You can also edit text messages that have already been sent to someone on WhatsApp

Instant messaging app WhatsApp has launched a feature where you can edit text messages that have already been sent to someone. With the help of this feature, the user can edit the message even after sending it. However, this message should be edited within 15 minutes of sending.

Remember that this feature was released by WhatsApp in the web version for beta testing some time ago and now the company has launched it officially.WhatsApp said in a blog post – when you have written a mistake while sending a text message or if you change your mind immediately, you can correct or edit the message that has already been sent. But this should be done within the first 15 minutes of the user sending the text message. After editing in this way, edited message will also be seen. That is, the recipient of the message will know that the message has been edited. But he will not be able to see the original message before editing.

Due to the facility of editing the sent messages, there will be no need to write a new message completely and it will save time.In fact, this feature of WhatsApp is similar to Apple. Apple’s iOS 16 has a feature to edit text messages. Apple users have 15 minutes to edit the message.iPhone users can edit a message up to five times. However, in WhatsApp, there is no limit on how much the sent message can be modified.

In order to edit the message, the user must first tap on the corresponding message sent by him. Then a pop-up option will appear, which also has an option to edit the message. You can modify the WhatsApp message by going to that option.

This new feature of WhatsApp works in both personal chat and group chat. Also, after 15 minutes of sending the message, the user will not be able to edit the message.
