Now you have to pay to get blue tick on Facebook and Instagram


Kathmandu. The Meta Company has announced its new paid verification subscription service. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new service called Meta Verified on Sunday.According to Zuckerberg, account verification for Instagram and Facebook will now cost $11.99 a month on the web version and $14.99 a month on iOS.

According to Zuckerberg, the paid verification feature on Facebook and Instagram will be launched in Australia and New Zealand this week. Zuckerberg said that paid verification subscription will be launched in other countries in the near future.Zuckerberg said that the paid verification feature that will be launched on Facebook and Instagram will increase the authority and security of their services.

META currently provides free blue ticks in the form of verification badges to politicians, executives, journalists and members of organizations etc. to provide an indication of their legitimacy.

Meta’s new subscription service is similar to Twitter’s new paid Twitter Blue feature. Twitter started the Twitter Blue subscription service in November last year and has re-implemented it with some improvements since December.
