England out, France in semi-finals after Kane misses penalty


Kathmandu. After captain Harry Kane failed to score a penalty, England lost 2-1 to former champions France and was eliminated from the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar. England got a penalty at the end of the game. But the penalty shot by captain Kane went off the post. Now at Bayat Rangshal, before that, Kane scored the goal when England got a penalty.

In the 17th minute of the game, Aurelian Chuwameni scored a pass from Antoine Griezmann and gave France the lead. France maintained the lead in the first half. But in the 54th minute, Kane scored a penalty and tied the game at 1-1. In the 78th minute, Olivier Giroud scored a goal to give France a 2-1 lead and bring them closer to victory.
But England had the opportunity to get back into the game after getting a penalty for the second time. Kane’s shot did not take the direction of the post. As a result, France became lucky and reached the semi-finals of the World Cup. France, which is on a mission to become the third team in history to defend the World Cup title, will now play the semi-finals against Morocco.
